Ram Gopal Verma, who has just had a successful outing with his latest release Rakta Charitra is all set to start work on his
next venture Department.
It has been reported that the director has roped in Amitabh Bachchan yet again, for
the upcoming film and apart from Big B, actors Sanjay Dutt and Riteish Deshmukh will also be a part of the star cast of
Department. After receiving rave reviews for Rakta Charitra, Ramu's upcoming project will also be an action oriented
movie.
In a statement released to the media, Ram Gopal Verma explains that Department is a story on the politics within the
hierarchy of Indian police officials.
Ramu has been known to make hard-hitting films in the past, and according
to the director, Department takes off where Company ended. And like many of his earlier works, this time too, RGV has
found inspiration in real life.
Though the director is not prepared to take any names, Ram Gopal Verma confirms
that it was his interaction with a police officer that inspired him to make Department.
Shooting work is scheduled to begin by the month of April next year. By signing Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role, Ram
Gopal Verma has put to rest all rumors surrounding his apparent fall-out with the actor.
